The presented call for experiences and good practices is carried out in order to select experiences and good practices that demonstrate the focus on gender and women empowerment in Early Warning Systems. Partners working in the Caribbean and Central America are encouraged to share their experiences in this area.

Bridgetown, Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø, July 16th, 2015 (CDEMA) - The Deputy Executive Director (DED) of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), Ms. Elizabeth Riley, hosted two secondary school students at the regional body’s Coordinating Unit (CU) on Wednesday, 15 July, 2015 as part of the Agency’s contribution to this year’s Mini Model United Nations (Mini MUN).
Bridgetown, Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø, July 16th, 2015 (CDEMA) – Several of the CDEMA Participating States were shaken today by a burst of earthquakes north-east of Â鶹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø. The Seismic Research Centre at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad, reported that the first earthquake occurred around 7.01 a.m. this morning, and registered a magnitude of 5.9. This was followed by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake at 11.16 a.m. and three other events measuring 4.1 and 5.3 and 3.8 respectively. The sequence is still on-going.
