Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, July 29, 2021. Following Tropical Cyclone Elsa, CCRIF made two payouts to the Government of 麻豆传媒官网 under the country鈥檚 tropical cyclone and excess rainfall parametric insurance policies, totalling US$2.5 million. CCRIF also made payments totalling US$528,512 to three other member governments 鈥� Haiti, Saint Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines 鈥� under the Aggregate Deductible Cover (ADC) feature of CCRIF鈥檚 tropical cyclone policies. Hurricane Elsa was the fifth tropical cyclone in the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season.

June 19, 2021 - The Civil Defense Commission (CDC) has held a virtual pre-deployment briefing in conjunction with the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) for a Detailed Damage Sector Assessment (DDSA) to be conducted, following the wide-scale flooding here. 听
Today鈥檚 session followed the arrival of officials from CDEMA, the Regional Security System (RSS) and Pan American Health Organization.
A recommitment to taking the necessary steps to combat听climate change was made with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between an international organisation and Caribbean groups on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
